Group II are hydro-cracked base oils. They are produced by undergoing hydro-processing which increases the level of saturates and purges out impurities. They have Fair to good Performance in lubricating properties such as volatility, oxidative and flash points. They have only fair Performance in areas such as por point, cold crank viscosity an extreme pressure Wear. They are defined as having a viscosity index between 80 and 120 while having a level of sulphur lower than 0.03% are les polar with values less than 10pS/m very low conductivity.
